Here is a picture of the back end of the Eastern Hognose snake that we saw on the road near the rattler. Jaggi uncle took this picture, but the snake was moving fast, so the picture did not capture its head. Its neck was flaring, like a cobra.

What a storm!

After several days of sweltering heat, the cold front moves in bringing heavy rain, thunderstorms and wind. Suddenly the water level rose several feet and Ken had to run out to batten down the hatches. Wow.
